You've never crocheted a rose like this before! When I set out to create a crocheted rose that wasn't the "same old thing," I wanted to something completely different, something that looked more like a real rose out in nature. The picture here shows the real rose that I grew which was my inspiration, next to my Backward Rose for comparison. I'm happy with it!
This pattern set includes FOUR crochet patterns! You will receive the Backward Rose Motif, the foundation for the Backward Rose Doily and the Backward Rose Mini Doily. You'll also receive the little 3" Backward Rose Mini Corsage pattern, where your creativity can really shine!
The Backward Rose 3" motif is fun to make! First we work outward creating a mesh framework, then we work back to the center filling in the mesh with petals. There's lots of opportunity to be creative with your colors - you can achieve a gradient effect by using a different color on each round, or even within each round.
You can go on to do the Backward Rose 12" Doily, featuring six roses with a pattern of stems and leaves.
Next is the Backward Rose Mini Doily, a little 5" doily very suitable for framing!
The Backward Rose Mini Corsage is the pattern to really have fun with and make as special as you like with added crystals, glitter, ribbons, wherever your creativity takes you!
I hope you will enjoy making these pieces as much as I enjoyed creating them! What a great way to use up your stash of crochet thread leftovers!
Sales from all my patterns directly benefit the four Miniature Schnauzers in my rescue and sanctuary, Sheila's Schnauzies. Their vet care is ongoing and so is the expense. I thank you for your support!

Welcome! I'm Sheila. I've crocheted since I was about 11, and I've been designing for over 20 years now. I started after my eyes lost the ability to jump quickly back and forth from pattern to work. I started doing my own thing and never looked back!
The vast majority of my work is in thread crochet, although I do enjoy my yarns too. I love to design 3D crocheted objects that are accented by my jewelrymaking hobby, too. I also enjoy creating accessories and winter warming objects like afghans, unique scarves, etc.
My patterns are sold to support the needs of my Miniature Schnauzer rescue dogs. We operate as Sheila's Schnauzies, a nonprofit organization and currently have four furkids here. We all appreciate your support!
