This classic cardigan sports violet motifs around the entire bottom edge, with a single motif at the top back. An option for a black cardigan with burgundy flowers is also provided.
This is an easy to intermediate thread crochet project. The body is worked from the bottom up. The motifs on the bottom edge are worked in a connect-as-you-go technique, and the body of the cardigan is worked all the way around from the motifs up. The sleeves are added on and crocheted from the top down. The only seaming is the sleeve seam. Detailed charts are also included for reference for each of size.
This pattern is written in U.S. terms.
Working in pattern:
9 3-dc groups = 4" across
8 3-dc rows = 3-3/4"
Motif measures 3-1/8" square

My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go motifs, filet crochet, etc. My other favorite crochet projects are working on my reversible designs.
I also enjoy cross stitch and knitting. Someday I hope to learn quilting and tatting.
