Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This is a project created using basic stitches and minimal shaping and finishing. It does however incorporate a challenging pattern stitch that will require some skill to master. Not recommended for beginners.

Pattern Description:

Moreton is a gorgeous cabled tunic featuring a criss-cross patterned bodice and front buttoning straps.
The bodice may be shirred using hat elastic and the straps and length are easily customised for a perfect fit that should see it last more than one season. Teamed with an undershirt and leggings, it's the perfect trans-seasonal garment for your little girl.
In sizes 0-6 months through to size 10.

{{Moreton Island is the second of the three sand islands visible from the Redcliffe peninsula, Queensland Australia. Framing the bay, it is the backdrop for observing many sailing vessels - from luxurious cruise ships to humble "tinnys." The criss-cross design featured on the Moreton tunic has been inspired by the crossings of these vessels across the beautiful waters of the bay.}}

17sc to 4" on a 4.5mm hook (or size required to achieve gauge. This gauge is give to determine the gauge of the yarn chosen and your personal crochet technique as the pattern does not actually call for rows of sc.
Gauge over the criss-cross pattern of the bodice is approximately 18sts to 4".

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 0-6 months through to size 10
  • To fit 17" - 27" chest
