I'm really excited about this pattern, but after trying three or four times to get started on it I realized that there are a couple of mistakes in the written instructions for the Lakota Lattice pattern. The diagram is correct, but if you compare the written instructions with the diagram for row 3 you'll see the differences. The instructions save to sc, ch 3, 2 dc in each single crochet. I believe it should be sc, ch 2, 2 dc in each single crochet. Also in the 2-dc cluster the instruction to ch 2 is missing. So, here is how I think the written instructions for row 3 should read. Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in first dc, (sc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each sc across to within last sc, sc in last sc, ch 2, 2-dc cluster working first half-closed dc in same sc holding last sc, and 2nd half-closed dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, yo, complete 2-dc cluster, turn. It's the only way I could do row three, by following the written instructions, without the row decreasing. Am I right or am I still getting it wrong? Now that I've figured this out I can get going on this for my sister who is always making me the most beautiful quilted purses.
