I wanted to design another Granny Square dress for Sophie. Squares are so fun to work, with endless possibilities of ways to use them! These squares have only 3 rounds each, and are quickly worked as they are joined with 1 st in the sides, and worked tog in the neck line and the outer sides as you go.The skirt is worked with post stitches, which shapes a light pleated effect. The A-line is achieved by changing hook sizes, no increasing. The dress came out really cute, so easy to dress and wear with anything and at any occasion. I love the combination of pearl gray with white and pink, it(tm)s so fresh and delicate. It will however be gorgeous in any fresh summer color combination! The pattern is simple, if you ever have crocheted Granny Squares or Afghans, you(tm)ll manage this little challenge too! Written instruction as well as in stitch diagrams, and lots of images! Additional sizes. This pattern is written with American English crochet terms. Conversion charts for crochet hooks and terms in Am Eng and Br Eng. 12 pages with written instructions, stitch diagrams and charts, lots of images and tutorials. Enjoy!

As you probably have guessed, Sophie is my manikin, my dress doll! She is about 3 years old, and has become indispensable in my work with crochet patterns, as there is not a toddler in sight in my neighborhood! She is a perfect child, always available, never cries and don't have to be fed! My husband worries now and then, catching me in talking to her!
I'm Norwegian, living outside Rome for the last years with my Italian husband, and I love it! After a long working life I finally I have time and peace in my mind to craft, create, experiment and design.
I grew up in a small village where my parents by need daily used their skills in all kind of crafts. My mother taught me how to sew, knit and crochet, among other housely things. My father taught me how to fish, climb a mountain, and set tiles, do carpentry, paint and anything else you need to know about building a house.
My education made me a fashion designer, but but I have always worked with interior.
Now I create quality crochet, knitting and other patterns, childrens clothing, jewelry, buttons and paper craft.
