Pattern Description:

OK, let's start with some basic math:

Babies are cute.
Giraffes are cute.
Babies + giraffes = ridiculously cute

And the problem? There aren't nearly enough cute little outfits for baby boys in the world today. Enter the Giraffe Jubilee for little boys. This pattern includes a giraffe hat, shorts, and oversized sandals for the baby boy in your life (or, soon to be in your life :D).

Sizes are approximate but are written for a newborn (small), up to 6 months (medium), or for about 12 months (large).

Gauge:

15 sts = 4inches and 11 rows = 4 inches

Stitch: hdc around

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Small (Newborn)
  • Medium (up to 6 months)
  • Large (6 months to about 12 months)

Materials:

  • Size H (5.00mm) hook
  • Worsted weight yellow yarn (250 yds for small, 325 yds for medium, 400 yds for large)
  • Worsted weight ecru or brown yarn (20 yds for all sizes)
  • Optional: About 18 in of 1/4 or 1/2 in elastic
