Pattern Description:
A number of fellow crafters have asked me for patterns to my Craftsy posts, but I create most of my own patterns and have no instructions to pass along. This time I was determined to create something adorable (and very small) and write up a pattern as well.
Oh my goodness! What a chore I set for myself! It took me days goodness knows how many little Mary Jane's until I had the pattern figured out!
Since it's a very first attempt, I'm offering it for free. I hope the booties turn out fabulously for others, and should you download this pattern, please, please let me know how it works.
Gauge:
With Baby Bee yarn and size G crochet hook 14 hdc = 4 inches.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Fits size 0 - 3 months - 3 3/4 inches
Materials:
- Baby Bee Hushabye Yarn Pink Baby Como: 3 oz ball, 177 yards (You should need only about 40 yards for one pair of booties.
- Baby Bee Hushabye Yarn Baby Sage: 3.53 oz ball, 208 yards (Only a few yards of this will make the straps and leaf sections.)
- About 2 yards of a light weight baby yarn (or a double strand of #10 cotton yarn) in bright pink for the center of the flower
- Crochet hooks : G (4mm) & D (3.25mm)
You Will Also Need:
- 2 buttons (5/8 inch)
- Tapestry needle to weave in yarn ends
- Needle and thread to attach button

In my photos you may catch glimpses of my 1952 Singer 201 sewing machine. It's the best machine I've ever owned, sews a perfect seam, and never needs repairs. I use it for all of my straight stitching and I save the fancy new machine for decorative stitching and FMQ.
