Pattern Description:

This chunky headwarmer is perfect for those cold winter days when you would normally think it is too cold for a ponytail because you need a hat. This headwarmer is the best of both worlds, covering a lot of your head, but leaves plenty of room for your ponytail. It's also great with your hair down. It works up quickly, doesn't use a lot of yarm, and you end up with something warm, soft, and chunky that you will never want to take off!

This pattern uses both traditional and Tunisian crochet stitches. Tunisian crochet is somewhat of a combination between knitting and crocheting. With this pattern, the result is a stitch that looks like knitting, but works up with the quick speed of crochet. If you are new to Tunisian, it is actually easy to learn, and there are many great tutorials on the web with videos, pictures, and directions.
