Intermediate
The Wicker Weave Clutch is constructed from a beautifully textured stitch that looks like woven wicker when complete. The pattern uses all basic stitches. The only reason it's rated an Easy Intermediate is that you will work in several rows at the same time. If you're up for a rewarding challenge, download the pattern and enjoy learning to create this amazing textured stitch.
The clutch is perfect for use as a make-up bag or for stowing all those small items that float around inside your purse. It's also large enough to hold a wallet and cell phone in addition to a few other items, so you can use it as a clutch when you want to travel light.
A skein makes two bags, so make one for you and give the other away! Your sisters and girlfriends will love getting these as gifts for birthdays and Christmas. They're great sellers at craft shows too!

Thirty-two years ago, an extremely patient, saint-of-a-woman taught me and ten or so other 8-year-old girls to crochet for our Bible School craft project. Somehow, that teacher retained her sanity and I retained a love for yarn. I took to the hook and have been crocheting ever since, making everything from doilies, to baby clothes, sweaters and footies, hats and scarves. After 20 years, I abandoned patterns and started experimenting with my own designs.
I'm a girly-girl in the extreme. I love pretty colors, soft textures, and anything that sparkles. So my idea of a good crochet project is a fun, feminine, flirty piece that feeds the fashionista in me!
