Pattern Description:

I am totally addicted to scarves. This past winter, I purchased even more scarves, ignoring the fact that I have a bin full of my own creations at home. One of my purchases was a knit scarf that I picked up at a thrift store. I love that scarf and I received a ton of compliments on it. It is wide and long and perfect for wrapping. I took the idea and recreated it in a crochet version and I am pleased with the results. I know that you will be too!

The pattern suggests 990 yds of Knit Picks Andean Treasure - 100% Baby Alpaca, but any favorite sport weight yarn will work up beautifully for this scarf. It is worked in one piece and it is the switching of stitches in each row that gives it the illusion of being worked in panels.

This pattern is also charted to act as a visual aid to the written pattern. Pattern is written in American Standard terms.

16 dc x 8 rows = 4" square

Suggested yarn:

990 yards of Sport weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Knit Picks Andean Treasure

Royal Heather
