Basic Skills Necessary:

  • dc, fpdc & bpdc

Pattern Description:

The 'tokri' is the Hindi word for (wicker) basket, and this shawlette is inspired by the basket weave stitch.
The pattern uses a light fingering yarn, and the stitches add a lovely texture and thickness to it.

This pattern has been tested, and has been given a skill level of Intermediate to Advanced.

This pattern is written in U.S terminology, in pdf format and comes with a photo tutorial.


2 rows in pattern and 6 sts (3 fpdc + 3 bpdc) = 1".

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 40" x 17"


  • 3-ply acrylic yarn (light fingering, # 1) ; about 100 g
