I am an artist and art teacher. I've been crafting from the time I was old enough grab a crayon. I'm so preoccupied by the sculptural nature of crochet. With hook and yarn in hand, I feel powerful. I fully believe that if I had enough yarn (and enough time) I could crochet a battleship. I'm obsessed by the need to create. Sometimes I even dream of yarn. And it's always colorful.View all patterns by designer (9) »
Standard headbands slide around, and you wind up having to constantly reposition them. Not the case with this headband. Hair stays in place comfortably, with NO slide... and no "headband ridges" in your hair when you take it off. Openwork design holds tresses in place stylishly, yet allows head to stay cool in summertime weather. Button closure allows for specific size adjustment.
HISTORY (briefly, why it's called the "Controversial" Trellis):
A former Etsy seller bought this pattern from me about 2 years ago. Soon she started selling this pattern -- word for word -- as her own. After numerous requests for her to stop the plagarism, the Attorney General of her state finally stepped in and issued a "cease and desist" motion. Justice served!
