Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • single crochet

Pattern Description:

This is my first cabled pattern. I really wanted something as long as a beanie, to cover my ears, but with a little brim. So, really - it was designed as a hat that I would wear. As it always goes, though - my daughter got the one right off the hook. LOL
I named it after one of my favorite shows - Once Upon A Time. Not that the design has anything to do with it. But it gets cold in Storybrooke, Maine. And I'm sure that, if I ever visited, I'd definitely wear this hat ;)

At the end of Row 4, the circle should measure 4"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • ages 8 and up

  • worsted weight yarn

Good storybrooke brim hat  March 17, 2013

My first cable stitched pattern! I loved the texture and stretchiness of the finished product! Great written pattern, my only suggestion would be to add diagrams to show the brim stitching.

Excellent INCREDIBLE  February 23, 2013

Once again Teresa has designed an amazing hat! I love how easy her patterns are to follow & how quick she is to help if necessary. I can't wait to make more of this hat!
