Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Double Crochet - DC
  • 2-DC TOG

Pattern Description:

Learn a new stitch and make a unique tam for your gorgeous dreads!
This pattern uses DK weight yarn which is lightweight and perfect for warmer weather. If you'd like a heavier tam, than you can substitute with Aran weight yarn. The tam will be slightly bigger, and the gauge will be off just a bit, but since this tam is adjustable it won't make much of a difference.
Tam will fit dreads up to a little longer than shoulder length. If you'd like to adjust the length of your tam, do so on rows 8-9, 12-14 and/or 17-18 to make it easier.

6 dc's/tr's and 3 rows = 2 inches.
