Pattern Description:
This is the crochet version of my knit Ratatouille Hat. The Ratatouille was named by my kids after I finished making the hat. When I put it on they exclaimed, "Mommy, you look like Ratatouille!" Given that they were watching the movie with the same name I totally understood what they meant.
Hence, the name Sous Chef for this hat. Not quite the same as the head chef (no pun intended) but still good all the same :-)
Size is easily customizable if needed. Simple make the band shorter or longer depending on what size you desire and pick up a multiple of 8 stitches around the brim.
Gauge:
Gauge: 5 HDC rows in BLO = 2"; 10 HDC sts = 2"
Materials:
- Yarn: Patons, DK Superwash wool (100% wool; 125 yds [114 m]/1.75 oz [50 g]):; (CA) #12409 Deep Blush, 2 balls. Wisdom Yarns, Poems Silk (75% wool, 25% silk; 109 yds [100 m]/1.75 oz [50 g]); (CB) #802, 1 ball.
- Hook: G/7 (4mm) or size to obtain gauge.
