Pattern Description:
Snegurochka, a Russian fairy tale character, is the daughter of Spring and Frost, who dies after she falls in love, as love melts her. These pretty fingerless mitts feature a warm and sweet flower pattern combined with cold straight lines of slip stitches.
Gauge:
16 sts and 26 rows (13 "ridges") in slip stitch worked in BLO = 2" (5 cm) x 2" (5 cm) unstretched
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Small (S) to fit hand measuring 6-7" (15 -17.5 cm) around knuckles (with 0-1" negative ease)
- Large (L) to fit hand measuring 7-8" (17.5-20 cm) around knuckles (with 0-1" negative ease)
Materials:
- Approx. 215 m (235 yd) of fingering weight/4 ply yarn, CYCA category 1: Super Fine
- Crochet hook in size C (2.75 mm) or size needed to achieve gauge
- Removable stitch marker
- Crochet hook in larger size, such as G (4 mm), for bottom edging (optional)
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends Gauge 16
