Pattern Description:

Fingered gloves are a must during the cold months, and are easier then they look! This simple stitch pattern offers a unique texture that gives the gloves just enough stretch. Finish off the look by creating a hat, why not; there is enough yarn in the skein to do both!

I came up with this design as a 1 skein challenge to myself (what can I make with only 1 skein), and created this set, that I promptly worked up and sent to family for holiday gifts. They were a hit!

Gauge:

Gauge: 8 st /10 rows =2"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished Size: Women's size gloves-9 1/2" circumference, men's size gloves-10" circumference, hat-20" & 24" circumference

Materials:

  • Size I/9/5.5mm hook or hook size needed to obtain gauge
  • One Women's set (gloves and 20" hat) or One men's set (gloves and 24"hat) 1 skein of Lisa Souza Baby Alpaca Sport, sport weight, 100% Baby Alpaca Yarn (330yds/3.4 oz) color: Malbec (www.lisaknit.com)
  • Stitch Marker
  • Tapestry needle

Suggested yarn:

330 yards of Sport weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Lisa Souza Dyeworks/ Baby Alpaca Sport (lisaknit.com)
