I've always been "crafty." When I went to college I discovered the wonderful world of yarn, and determined that a skein of yarn and a hook fit in a book bag easier than an easel and paints.

Pattern Description:

All through college I hosted karaoke parties for various clubs and youth groups. I wanted something I could wear DJing that would be fun and show my love of music and crochet. If you love quirky hats and music then this is a definite conversation starter.


This project stretches so perfect gauge is not necessary. However, the reccomended gauge is 2 rows equals 1 inch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Completed Beret is Roughly 1 Foot Across
  • Band Stretches


  • Worsted Weight Black Yarn - 1 Skein
  • Worsted Weight Gray Yarn - Less Than 1 Skein
  • Worsted Weight Red or Burgundy Yarn - 1 Skein
  • Worsted Weight Aqua or Other Color Yarn - Less Than 1 Skein
  • J Hook (Size 10 or 6.00 mm)
  • K Hook (Size 10.5 or 6.50 mm)
  • Yarn or Tapestry Needle
