No matter how I look at it, Prince and his music are all about a feeling and a vibe of my teenage years. When the Purple Rain movie and album was released, it took hold through my entire group of friends. "Let's Go Crazy" was almost an anthem for my high school class. Hearing the words "Dearly beloved" evoke an urge to run out to the nearest dance floor and rock out to any prince song.
The Purple Rain socks were designed to inspire that same feeling. The heliotrope - purple color along with the spike stitches evokes that feeling of Rock 'n Roll edgy-ness from the era of which they are named for. I'm taking my pair to the nearest dance club...
