Pattern Description:

There is a chill in the air and I am in the mood to make Punkin' Hats for all the babies who were born this summer and their big brothers and sisters.

As you can see from the pictures . . . babies and toddlers LOVE this hat. And, you will too.

This hat is made to pulled down on the head. The brim can be turned up if the hat is to "tall" or left down. If your "baby" isn't growing too much, the hat should fit them for a year or two . . . there is quite a bit of stretch built in, but the hat will not sag due to the stretch.

The colors are from the Vanna's Choice and Vanna's Baby collection from Lion Brand. I like using acrylic yarn so the hats can be easily washed and dried. You could use cotton, but I don't think it would wear as well as the acrylic.

100% of the purchase price for the pattern goes to Natalie's Second Chance Shelter, a no-kill dog shelter in my home state of Indiana. It is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
