Those who have tried my designs will know that I love creating simple designs that look very effective, after all life doesn't need to be complicated! And I understand that many people like a bit of television or music knitting/crochet, so the easier they are the better it is to enjoy the world around you whilst enjoying your craft.

The beauty is in the simplicity. A pleasing regular pattern with dense fabric at the neck, progressively moving to more open and lacy at the ends. Optional beaded edges add weight, or try a shell edging or picot edging or add a fringe - the choice is yours. Takes only one 100g skein of 4 ply/fingering weight yarn. Finished size approx 20cm wide by 150cm long. My sample used just under one skein, probably about 395m. The pattern is written in English and US terminology, and is also charted. Thanks to some great testers who showed just how you can personalise the scarf with different edgings and make something truly unique to you. And a good tip from the testers - please take care when the pattern changes, it is easy to do the wrong pattern row occasionally. (Yes, even I did it once!) I would love to see this design in a different weight of yarn, so please experiment and post photos :-)
