Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You already know basic crochet stitches
  • Ideally, you are familiar with Tunisian crochet

Pattern Description:

Tunisian simple stitch worked in subtly variegated shades of blue and purple combines with a picot edge to make this light and romantic scarf, which can also be worn as a shawlette.

As for the "practice"? By the time you finish this project, you will be a pro at the picot.


20 sts and 17 rows = 4" in Tunisian simple stitch


  • One 100 gram skein of a smooshy fingering-weight yarn
  • H-8/5.0 mm Tunisian crochet hook
  • G-7/4.0 mm crochet hook
