Intermediate
This is an advanced beginner - intermediate pattern that requires the knowledge of post stitches to complete.
Polyhymnia is the beginning of my 'muse' collection. A convertible winter weight cowl or hat. Created to do double duty therefore increasing its usefulness. Representing Polyhymnia, the muse of geometry and sacred poetry this item is beautiful in its simplicity. Because of the simple pattern and texture the pattern showcases any yarn from lovely hand dyed and textured yarns to wonderful plains.
I have made Polyhymnia with a yarn from Colourmart in the UK, it can be made in Aran or heavy worsted weight yarns.
This pattern has been tech edited and tested.

I am a knitter and a crocheter that has been crafting in various forms for nearly 40 years. I have been crafting for so long I don't remember how I started. I do know however that as a mother of 8 children craft is what helps me stay sane :)
