Orlando is the name of my 7 year old tuxie cat. He was named after the eponymous hero in the book Orlando by Virginia Woolf. Orlando starts out in life as a man in the 16th century but after living 200 years transforms and spends the next 200 as a woman. This basic slouchy style chapeau would have served Orlando well through all 400 years. It looks equally great on a man or a woman, and it's a flattering look for almost everyone. It requires only 200 yards of worsted weight yarn so it's also economical. It works up quickly making it the perfect choice for holiday gift giving

I spend my days working in the oncology department in one of Boston's top hospitals and my nights & weekends playing with yarn. My passions are everything related to art, books, hockey and the creative process. My fur baby, Orlando, is a 7 year old tuxedo cat that runs my life. He loves yarn as much as I do.
