Pattern Description:

I have another one skein pattern- and it may very well be only me who ever wears it but here is my One Skein Summer Hausfrau House Bra!

I have 'too much' to go with nothing, but 'Ach du Lieber Himmel' this summer is already just too much with heat and sweat and hot flashes oh my... This 'bra' is very similar in design to my One Skein Summer Slippers with a more solid portion where it needs to be and then mesh to just sort of create a 'hammock' for the girls! It doesn't give a whole lot of support, so I wouldn't wear this out of the house, but for the after work 'hausfrau' activities like washing dishes and cooking (and crocheting!) it works just fine! Soft and non-scratchy and kind of just barely there but there enough to prevent sticky and sweaty!

Uses one 2 oz/95 yd ball of cotton worsted weight, an H hook, and 4 buttons (5/8 inch). The racer back design means the shoulder straps stay where they belong without sliding and the strap buttons make the garment adjustable for your comfort level.

~Heritage Heartcraft, heirloom quality thread crochet by Cara Louise~

I have been crocheting since about 1974 at age 8 when my mother taught me with regular yarn and larger crochet hooks. A year or so later, she found a bag that had been her mother's which contained some gorgeous doilies her mother had made, along with some skinny crochet thread and some impossibly small steel crochet ...
