Basic Skills Necessary:

  • chain
  • double crochet
  • slip stitch
  • front loop single crochet
  • front loop double crochet
  • back loop double crochet
  • reverse single crochet (crab stitch)

Pattern Description:

This flapper style, cloche hat and mitten set has subtle ridges that reminded me of the gills on mushrooms, they're only visible when you look underneath, or when you fold back the edges. So, keep the ridges as your little secret or share them with the world. The hat is worked from the crown to the shaped brim. The mittens are worked from the top down so you can customize the fit. There's no need to make button holes, you can simply use the space between double crochet stitches!

Valley Yarns Williamstown has been discontinued, Berroco Blackstone Tweed or Tahki Donegal Tweed can be substituted.

Gauge:

18sts / 10 rows = 4 inches - dc worked in rounds

  • One 1 inch and Two 1/2 inch matching buttons
  • Three 1/4 inch coordinating buttons
