Pattern Description:

Have you seen those tall, pointed top hats with very wide brim. Those hats are traditionally Mexican and also popular in Spain (Am I correct?) Wouldn't they be fun to wear? I wanted to create one of those using my yarns and hooks. The pattern was little tricky to design but once I got the numbers correct I really enjoyed it. I designed them in 3 sizes - small/baby, medium/child and large/adult. The pattern has no fancy stitches, so any beginner could do it. You can make it with a single color with a contrasting band as the brown one or use multiple colors and have fun creating the striped one. The choice is yours. You can crochet this hat using a heavy worsted weight yarn or hold two strands of a lighter worsted weight yarns together. You will need H/5.00 mm crochet hook.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Small (17-18 inch head circumference), medium (19 to 20" head circumference) and large (upto 22" head circumference)

  • Aran yarn
  • Crochet hook size H/5.00 mm
