Pattern Description:

Great project for beginners!

Looks like knitting but is created using a simple crochet stitch that you already know or can quickly learn. Simple enough for those new to crochet. Crochet using only one color at a time! There is no stranding or carrying of yarn. Great for using scraps. Even the back has an interesting design.


10 sts & 11 rows over 4 inches
Exact gauge is not needed

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Red: 8 inch by 60 inch (cowl)
  • Green: 5 inch by 62 inch (scarf)
  • Gray: 6 inch by 70 inch (scarf)
  • Size easily adjustable


  • Crochet Hook: Size M/13 (9mm)
  • Worsted Weight Yarn. 2 colors. Yarn used were 200 yard skeins of Plymouth Encore. See website for more information on yarns.

Suggested yarn:

200 yards of Worsted weight
