I spend a lot of time looking at crochet projects and sites on the internet,
The ripple crochet design seems very popular.
I was inspired to experiment with the ripple to see if I could come up with a design that used the triangle motif and colour.
So I challenged myself.
Isabella is so named because I like the name, it is evocative of elegance and sophistication.
My Isabella scarf is not a scarf to keep your neck warm, it is designed to be worn as an elegant accessory.
Isabella is made is made a ripple colour arrangement, please follow the chart below
YOU WILL NEED
The Natural Dye Studio's Dazzling 2 Ply Lace
50 gms (100 gms in total) of 2 different shades Lundy, preferably from 2 different dye lots. Shades Aand B
50 gms of Combe Martin
50 gms of Blackmoor Gate
Crochet hook in size 2.5 mm.
Tapestry needle for sewing in loose ends.
SIZE & TENSION
Isabella measures approx. 10 x 70 inches
The blocked motifs measure approx. 2 inches from point to point.
Everyone has a different tension, so before you start your project you will need to measure your first motif. Experiment with a few hook sizes to get the

I make pretty things exclusively using The Natural Dye Studio's luxury yarns.
The subtle plant dyed colours lend themselves to being mixed together in one big project.
I am fascinated by the gaps between the joined motifs, they often form a secondry
un-planned design that you will only discover after joining them.
