Pattern Description:

If you look at this pattern closely, you see that on one side, the little white stitches are 'holding hands' and as are the little black sitches on the other side.. so all these little stitches seem to be dancing while 'holding hands'!

Made this scarf for a really close friend, who's over 6' tall, so this was a really long scarf (my longest yet!). He asked for a scarf in 'either white or black', so thought I'd trouble him and give him 'both' :)

Size is variable and gauge is not critical ; yardage has been given for the one scarf and both the hats.

This pattern has been designed with 2 hats, with and without a border.
This pattern has been tested using :
1. 4-ply acrylic yarn, Oswal mills , 125 g (415 yds) each of MC & CC , 5mm (H) crochet hook ;

2.Caron Simply Soft Black & Caron Simply Soft Autumn Maize ; 161 m /177yds ;10.5 mm (K) crochet hook ;
Skill level by tester : Easy to intermediate ;
Comment : I really like this pattern. I made this set for me, but I am sure it will be scooped up when my daughter visits me next month.

3. 4-ply acrylic unbranded yarn ; 120 g each colour , 5 mm crochet hook ;
Skill Level by tester : Easy ;
Comments : Helpful photos and well explained.

4. Hobbycraft Valuecrafts Double Knitting (Black & White) about 211 m each colour, 5.5 mm (I) crochet hook for scarf ; 44 g (125 m) black + about 5 g white for cap with 5.5 mm (I) crochet hook ;
Skill level by tester : Advanced beginner ; Comment : I love love LOVE this pattern!!!!!

Gauge is not critical

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • (W) 7" x (L) 9' (inclusive of 6" tassels each end)

Materials:

  • 4-ply acrylic (fingering , #1) yarn (125 gms / 415 yds EACH) in TWO colours
  • 5 mm (US 8 , H) crochet hook

Suggested yarn:

850 yards of Fingering weight
