I designed this shawl for my daughter's Junior Prom. I used a shiny silver fingering yarn and it came out smashing! The edge contains 89 litle dangling hearts and it has an optional front closure with a larger heart holding 6 chain strings. My friend then crocheted it in a beautiful purple sock weight yarn, which came out much larger, looks gorgeous, and did not need the front closure.

Knitting constantly, Unless I'm crocheting...
I started at my grandmother's knee. It was said that as a child back in the "old country" she was exempted from farm labor because she could knit an entire thigh-length stocking in an afternoon. Now THERE'S incentive to work on your knitting speed!
