I've been crocheting for a number of years now. I started out to find something to keep my hands busy while watching TV-better than snacking. I very quickly became addicted. When I found myself altering patterns I decided it was time to start designing my own. I began crocheting children's hats for Halos of Hope in 2010. They are a great organization that sends soft hats to chemo centers all over the USA. I hope my silly hats can bring some happiness to a child fighting a terrible disease. Please check them out at halosofhope.org.
