Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You need to know how to chain, single crochet and slip stitch.
  • Front- and back-post double crochet stitches are used for the cuff ribbing.
  • There is a modified half-double stitch used; directions are in the pattern.

Pattern Description:

I LOVE gloves - fingerless, half-finger, full-finger - doesn't matter. I know you can only wear one pair at a time, but I'm always looking for a new stitch design to turn into a new pair of gloves.

These gloves can be made with or without the separate half-fingers. Super easy if you leave the half-fingers off; not too terribly difficult if you make the fingers. The sample pair of these have quickly become my favorites - the half-fingers are just too fun!!

The body is made with a modified half-double crochet stitch - the resulting design reminds me a bit of the knit garter stitch. It's a firm, textured stitch but still has some stretch to it. It feels great on my hand!

Don't be afraid to try this pattern; recent feedback from a customer:

Awesome pattern, easy to follow. And that's saying a lot since I hardly know how to crochet! Very cute!

Crocheting is my crafty passion - passed on to me by my grandmother. :-)

My husband and I were both blessed to be able to retire just after turning 50 in January 2007. We sold just about everything we couldn?t fit in the pickup truck or RV and started choosing places we wanted to see on a big map.

And then I got cancer.

Our travel plans were put on hold as I went through chemotherapy, ...
