A friend requested a Gir hat for her daughter's 11th birthday, and since I have been looking for patterns to write that aren't extremely common, I opted to write my own, rather than follow someone else's. This pattern is basic enough for even the beginner crocheter to understand and create, while giving off the appearance of a more complex character hat. After looking through many pictures and consulting many Gir experts, I made the decision to include several different options for doing Gir's eyes. And, while not quite as clean appearing as embroidery, there is even the chance for some possible puff painting. ;)
I am a stay at home mom of 4. I have been crocheting since I was about 8 years old when my great grandma taught me. I am now teaching myself to knit and beginning to branch out into writing my own patterns..
I am also beginning to sell PartyLite, and am a huge fan of cooking. I am starting to keep track of my recipes so that one day, I can write a cook book. ;)
