Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Foundation dc
  • Double Crochet
  • Front Post dc

Pattern Description:

Furrow is a lightweight, reversible cowl in two sizes. Both sizes begin with Foundation Double Crochet. This is an easy pattern to memorize, and once you master front post double crochet (it's easy!) you'll whip up Furrow in no time. It's a perfect summer cowl that will take you right into late fall.

Both the short and long version of Furrow use 2 balls of Hempathy, which makes this cowl economical to make.

Since you'll have to join a new ball of yarn halfway through this pattern, I recommend you use the Magic Knot. It's the best way I found to join the new ball and have the little knot disappear into the fabric. You can find the video at:

Gauge:

18 fdc and 17.5 rows = 4 inches

Both the short and long version of Furrow use only 2 balls of Hempathy.

  • Long Cowl - 41" around, 6" wide

  • Crochet Hook 3.5mm
