'Fromage' is the French word for cheese. The triangular shapes in this beret remind one of pieces of French cream cheese, which are very popular in Morocco. Moroccan crafters would recognize this design as 'the fromage shape.' I learned this design and turned it into something wearable with a pretty lace edging. This is both stylish and unique- you can reverse it to show a shape which looks a little like a starfish. It would make a great gift for yourself or a loved one!

Hi! I live in the Kingdom of Morocco with my family- in my spare time, I love to make things from yarn? I?ve been knitting since 2005 and I learned to crochet here in North Africa. I studied at a women?s community college for two years, and I?ve earned a Moroccan Diploma of Crochet Design. I hope you like seeing my designs as much as I like creating them. :)
