Pattern Description:

This sweet Baby Flower and Shells Headband is an easy and quick project, perfect for baby showers and also suitable for a necklace using different colors and yarn.

In this pattern you will find 4 different sizes up to 12 months and the instructions needed to make it larger or shorter as desired. The yarns I have used for the headbands that you can see in this pattern are Capri, Brissa and Bolero by Katia.

Gauge:

2.5 mm hook: 24 dc x 12 rows / 3 mm hook: 22 dc x 12 rows.
4" square (10 cm). Matching your gauge is not critical for this project.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

0-3. 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 months and more

Materials:

Yarn - 30 m / 33 yards of Red Capri for the headband and 10 m / 11 yards of White Brissa / Gum Bolero yarn for the flower of any other fine 2 weight yarn
Hooks - 2.5 mm (or a 3 mm hook for a loose headband).

You Will Also Need:

1 pearl button or bead.
6 cm of elastic ribbon or 15 cm of satin ribbon
Sewing thread: 1 m
Tapestry needle.

I thought this was a wonderful pattern to do - easy and relatively quick... I adjusted the size to fit my daughter's head size (she's almost 3), and she loved to wear it.
