Pattern Description:

This colorful Flip Flop Purse is the perfect accessory for any beach-going girl. You can make this in any color or colors and embellish however you choose. It works wonderfully as a shoulder or cross-body bag. Simply adjust the length of your strap.

This pattern is great for a beginner as it allows you to adjust size and type of yarns to your preference so there is no need for a gauge swatch. You can make a larger purse by using a larger hook, or a smaller purse using a smaller hook. Instructions list 100% cotton yarn for materials needed, though you can supplement that with worsted weight yarn if desired.


5 st = 1 inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx. 6 1/4" wide x 8 1/2" long


  • 2 balls of Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn in colors of choice
  • Size H crochet hook
  • Yarn needle

  • Assorted buttons or other embellishments of choice
