Pattern Description:

The first snow hat is as fun to make as it is wear. A classic crochet pattern updated with my favorite chunky yarns.

What is great about this pattern, is the seamless pathway your hook takes, it never leaves the hat to make the ties. And the pom-pom is super cute.

I have used Rowan Big Wool and Blue Sky Alpaca Bulky and both work out looking awesome.

6 stitches and 7 rows = 4 inches in single crochet


  • 9.00 mm
  • scissors
  • 5" by 5" piece of cardboard for pom pom
  • or small book 4" to 5" for pom pom
  • yarn needle for finishing
