Once upon a time I was a professional costume designer/builder. Then I met a boy. You know how that goes. Now I am a Stay At Home Mom in NJ. We have twin girls who were born in July '07. The artist in me can not stay still, and we could use more income, so here I am! I love creating knit and crochet patterns, sewing (obviously!), book making, well...creating just about anything.
We also have a creative hobby. In some of our free time we are Medieval Re-creationists.
You can learn more about me, and see lots of fun snaps of my children and other creations on my blog, ~or~ You can keep tabs on my creations on my facebook page, both are linked below with my other crafty pages.
Thanks for stopping by!
The town farmers market is finally open for the season! I LOVE going to the farmers market, and I love using re~usable bags. For years I have been using the tote bags you can buy at the grocers, but this year I am making a market bag! This market bag has a hexagon base, a mesh side, and a long shoulder strap on top! I have chosen the super simple chain and slip st mesh for the side because it works so well for market bags, and I like the look. On our first outing to the market with the bag this morning, my daughter Vada dubbed it the "Grand Old Flag Bag."
One size, but easy to adjust
Worsted weight, 100% cotton recommended, my bag took 160 grams
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Not very important, it's a bag!
