Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You need to know how to chain, single crochet, double crochet and slip stitch.
  • Foundation single crochet stitches (directions given in the pattern)
  • Front- and back-post double crochet stitches are used for the cuff ribbing.

Pattern Description:

I made these at a request from a friend who loves yoga. Since then I've had people tell me they wear them for dance classes, pedicures and even line dancing classes! (See comment below)

These work up quickly; depending on how quickly you crochet you can make a pair in an evening. Fun gift for your yoga friends, or even as part of a 'girls spa day'!

Recent feedback about this pattern:

Just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am with this pattern for yoga socks.

With a slight adjustment to make the cuff larger to fit over my shoes, I have now made two pairs. I will wear them in my line dancing class - they are great to slip over the front of the shoe, to allow the foot to slide a little during those difficult turns in line dancing. I plan to make several more in different colours, so that I can co-ordinate them with my clothes. The pattern is very easy to follow, and makes up beautifully.

Thanks again for such a wonderful pattern; you are very talented!

Warmest regards, Angela
