Pattern Description:

Designed for a man. Can be worn by a woman. This intricately cabled scarf has a repetitive pattern that is fun to make. Watch the Dragon's Teeth grow on your scarf. Easily adaptable to the length that you want. This is a great present for when the nights are cold and snowy. The man in your life will be proud to say that you made this for him. It is wide enough to cover the face, neck and ears in the windiest and coldest of weather.

I designed this for men to wear as either a scarf or man shawl. It would make a nice "man shawl" for a man who is a shut-in. It can be used in any number of ways for a man and launders easily if made with acrylic.

(Take a peak at the picture on Matilda the mannikin. See how lovely it is on a woman, too!)

There is no gauge. This pattern is worked best if worked with a medium to tight tension. If you feel that your stitch pattern is looking too loose and sloppy then reduce your hook size.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 14 in by 65 in / 36 cm by 165 cm
  • The length of your scarf is determined by how many times you work the pattern repeat. You can widen the scarf by adding "valley" and "peak"repeats. Pattern repeat numbers are given.
