Pattern Description:

I wanted to create something dainty and very girl-y. I wanted it to be soft and dense, without stiffness. I think I achieved all these goals with this pattern, one of my very favorites!

The diaper cover pattern is dense enough to really cover the diaper (no color or labels peeking through the holes too much) without feeling chunky or stiff. I am really happy with the nice drape yet good coverage this pattern stitch creates. It is fastened with buttons on the inside of the flaps so they can be adjusted just like the tabs on a regular diaper. The top or back can be folded down to accommodate smaller babies.

  • Newborn - 3 months

  • Baby Bee Sweet Delights light weight yarn, 1 skein
  • 4mm (G6) crochet hook
