I love the way the chroma yarn looks. i'm concerned the wool yarns will be too ruff for a tiny baby's feet. is there a yarn that gives the same look but is softer and machine washable?
I am new at this site. I love the pattern and would love to purchase it with the yarn if I could. Can you let me know what Type of yarn it is. Is there a complete kit you can buy. I am from Canada and don't know how to get a pay pal card...help.
So Great....wow..i love it..where can i .find..how it make this..i am from Holland...i hope you understand this...greetings Truus
I absolutely love these, they're so stinkin' CUTE!!!! Perfect yarn for these, beautiful!
I would love to have these made. Is anyone selling them?
I do! :)
I'd love to see instructions for these in larger sizes. I don't have any babies in my family, but some young girls that would adore them!
Nevermind, found the one for adults! LOL!
Where did you find the adult pattern?
There is also a pattern available for kids up size 11-13
How do they stay on baby's feet? The buttons? My family has historically skinny legs...
I omitted the buttons and used sew-on velcro. The velcro can be adjusted and the booties look like they are pull-on booties. I was concerned the buttons would come off and my grandson would put them in his mouth and possibly choke on them.
What yarn did you use for these? I want to make sure I can get it before I buy the pattern- I want mine to be rainbow, too! Absolutely beautiful. :)
Gorgeous, clever!
Agreed, have to know what yarn. These are too cute. Please let us know about the yarn.
Hi Hulabean and Elaine, The yarn is in the pattern at the bottom of the "Materials" section (I copied the name below). I agree... it's beautiful. "The booties showcased in pattern pictures were made with: Knit Picks Chroma (Fingering weight) in Prism colorway; 70% wool, 30% Nylon (396 yards/100 grams per skein)."I'm going to try it with Berroco Comfort DK Sport Weight (color 2813 - Multi Brights). If they come out ok, I'll post a picture!
Where can I get the rainbow Knit Picks Chroma?
Knitpicks.com
really disappointed this yarn is 30% nylon and 70% wool I really do not like to use wool it shrinks so bad.
They're beautiful but I need to know what yarn also. I'm in Australia and I need to check availability before I buy the pattern.
If you purchase the pattern she tells you what yarn she used.
I bought the pattern and am ordering the yarn. I've been practicing with a skein I had at home, and they're really easy and fun to make. Can't wait to see how they turn out with the same yarn used for the photo!
Are these knitted and crocheted?
This is crochet.
Hey there witch puppies. I liked these on my pinterest page and it's going viral! Hope you dont mind, look for increased pattern orders I think! Thanks for the inspiration. I would buy all your patterns if I could, so talented!
So unique and cute!
I have made these three times now in two different kinds of yarn, Everyone adores them. I cannot wait to make some more.
What type of yarn did you use? I live in Canada and not sure if i can get the yarn she used.. Jennifer Thank you!
ive never really crocheted before, so i have no idea what i'm doing. would i still be able to do this?
I wouldn't class this as an absolute beginners project. If you know the stitches needed to complete it then I would have a go at it though :) The crocodile stitch is quite easy once you've got the hang of it.
Love these. Just bought them and need to try them right now. LOL
Does anyone know where I would be able to purchase this yarn as I am unable to locate it - Knitpicks wont ship to Australia. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
do y'all have hobby lobby there by any chance? They carry it as well. Not sure if they will ship to Australia. If I come across a solution, I will post here. Good luck.
I want to tell you I Pinterested a picture of these and it's gone viral!
These are beautiful. I saw them at knitpicks too . I might just need to learn to crochet...(knitter), they're crocheted, right?
Yes.
LOVE this pattern. I was asked to make a pair for a friend of mine and have made at least 15 pair for everyone who saw them.
Lovely, what type of yarn did you use??
Yarn used is Knit Picks Chroma (Fingering weight) in Prism colorway.
