Basic Skills Necessary:

• Pattern is written using standard US stitches.
• sl st = slip stitch
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• dc = double crochet
• magic circle/adjustable ring - See included tutorial
• reverse single crochet aka crab stitch - Without turning work, sc from left to right.
• surface stitch - Hold yarn on back of work, insert hook from the front to the back, yarn over and pull through loop on hook. Reinsert hook from the front to the back and repeat.
• invisible hdc decrease - Invisible decrease should only be done when the right side is facing. Yarn over, insert hook under front loop of first stitch. Insert hook under front loop of second stitch. Yarn over, pull through two loops on hook, yarn over and pull though last three loops on hook.

Mr. Springy, The Robot Dude is a fun, silly hat that will be loved by everyone. With three sizes to fit most from 9 mos. to adult, you can make one for every member of your family. Really, who doesn't want a Robot hat?

SKILL LEVEL: Easy +/Intermediate. Pattern includes tutorial for Magic Circle/Adjustable Ring and a tutorial on how to blend color changes when working in a continuous sprial. Both have been added to the pdf.
