If you love scarves but don't necessarily like all the bulk, you'll love this pattern. It is made to contour around the neck and shoulders and is made to lay flat. Comfortable enough to wear all day as a fashion accessory.
You'll find this pattern works up quickly and the finished scarf has a lot of interest and textures. I have included lots of pictures with very clear instructions.
Probably not meant for a really new crocheter, but certainly not difficult. Would need knowledge of basic crochet.
Written in standard American crochet terms.

I cannot remember a time that I haven't had a stash of yarn or fabric. While growing up, both my Grandma and my Mom were always working on some kind of project-- I remember each and every afghan that was made for every family member. How much fun it was to see the new patterns, colors and styles.
So it does not surprise my family that I have gone down the same path. I love the process of coming up with new patterns, but most of all, I love the feel of the yarn as it's being worked.
I will be listing more and more each week, so hope you'll keep checking back.
I love the variety and creativity that crochet offers--I can make a hat or two and then I'll work on different appliques, or perhaps a headband. I hope my love of creativity and expression comes through in my items.
