All babies need cute, soft, and warm mittens to keep their precious little hands warm, while looking their best during the harsh winter months. You are welcome to make my Crochet Baby Mittens which are 100% acrylic material for both warmth and softness. A myriad of contrasting color patterns make these mittens blend well with the season, and match any winter outfit.

Gauge:

17 stitches and 14 rows = 4 inches in half double crochet (United States terminology)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

0-6 months - Mitten measures 5" from cuff edge to tip; cuff is 1.5" long; body of mitten is 3.5" long by 2.75" wide.
6-12 months - Mitten measures 5.5" from cuff edge to tip; cuff is 1.5" long; body of mitten is 4" long by 2.75" wide.

Materials:

Two colors of "Caron Simply Soft";
One color of Red Heart Super Saver or other soft worsted weight yarn.
F/5 (3.75mm) crochet hook;

You Will Also Need:

Yarn needle.
Matching thread and needle.
Braided polyester elastic (1/8 inches * 4 yards; black) - approx. 10-12''
