My new granddaughter was born and I knew I had to design a headband and barrettes for this little blessing. My babies and now grandbabies are all bald at birth and headbands add so much for those first pictures. My daughter added the clip barrettes to an already existing plain headband and now she just looks darling.
The pattern gives elastic sizing for newborn to one year. If this headband is being made for an older child, measure the head it will go on and add the length of elastic needed.
The pattern give complete instructions for making the headband or for making two clip on barrettes.
Since you are crocheting it, you can use any variety of colors. The pattern shows the colors I used but any combination of colors could be used to give her that one of a kind special piece.
**Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced. The picture tutorials will help do stitches you may never have tried before. The pattern uses U.S. crochet abbreviations.
Contact information is on pattern if you have any problems, or to give me feedback or just want to show me how cute it looks.
This would make an excellent baby gift. It works up very quickly and looks exquisite. What a wonderful addition to any little girls outfit. The barrettes will help her keep wayward hair in place. This would add a stunning addition to any Easter outfit.

My mother taught me to make a chain stitch when I was in elementary school. I was hooked. Now, I enjoy making knit and crochet patterns that I love for others to learn these wonderful arts.
