The first time I touched a hook was the summer of 89. My aunt was tired of us kids complaining about being bored, and put us to work making butterfly magnets. We used single and double crochet to complete these adorable magnets with pipe cleaner antennae. It was 23 years later before I picked up a hook again and after encouragement of Facebook friends, From Home was created a few days before my 33 birthday this past January. Most of what I know now was self taught (minus those 2 stitches Aunt Jan showed me). and six months ago, patterns looked like gibberish to me. I am proud of how far I have come in such a short time, and look forward to a future of hooking and creation.View all patterns by designer (18) »
As part of a collaboration with some of my pattern testers, we present the 'Paw Pals" Mitten Collection.
Each pattern features a different size and offers unique animal features that you can use to create your very own Paw Pal.
The mittens are sized from newborn to adult and each sizing group has been adjusted from my original pattern.
This pattern features the Child Paw Pal with pointed or rounded ears. Mix and match from each pattern to create an unusual mitten sure to please.
