Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • US crochet terms

Pattern Description:

Baby girls need some kind of foot jewelry all their own. So, these barefoot baby sandals are perfect. Your baby girl will certainly make a fashion statement wearing these. The toe loop goes around the 2nd toe and the ankle ties tie in the back above the heel. For an even different look, the ankle ties can be made longer and wrapped around the ankle in a ballerina fashion making them oh so cute! Use a heavier weight cotton thread or yarn for many sizes up to toddlers. Featured photos are made using #10 cotton crochet thread. Another great idea with this pattern is to leave off the toe loop and ankle ties for a super quick applique or embellishment to use on other projects such as headbands, hats, clothing, etc.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Newborn to toddler sizes

  • cotton crochet thread, #3 or #10
  • fingering/sport weight yarn
  • worsted weight yarn such as Caron Simply Soft

You Will Also Need:

  • crochet hooks C through H
  • yarn needle

I absolutely love crafting, or maybe I should say cross-crafting!. At 9, my mother taught me how to crochet and sew. I thank her for teaching me that sitting in front of the television or some form of electronic device was a waste of valuable time when I could use my creative energy to bring joy to others through items that are handmade.

Thanks for visiting my shop!
